The First Day of Christmas – With special guests and trivia.

Thanks to Sally for having me as one of her Festive guests in the 12 Days of Christmas celebration, especially next to the wonderful Reading Ape! Cheers! Or Fum, fum, fum!

I am a language teacher, writer, bookworm, and collaborator at Sants 3 Ràdio (a local radio station in Barcelona, where I returned in 2018), who lived in the UK for 25 years and worked for many years as a forensic psychiatrist there. I also have a Ph.D. in American Literature and an MSc in Criminology. I started publishing my stories, in English and Spanish, in 2012 and now have over twenty books available in a variety of genres, a blog (in English and Spanish), and translate books for other authors (English-Spanish and vice versa). In 2020 obtained the CELTA certificate as a language teacher, and offer Spanish and English classes. Writers and readers both in English and Spanish are my friends, colleagues, and allies, and after living in the UK for over twenty-five years, have returned home, to Barcelona, Spain, searching for inspiration for my stories. I also love owls and try to keep fit following fitness YouTube videos.

Thanks Kathy. I love fairy tales. There’s a hilarious version of the 12 days of Christmas by Frank Kelly. If you’ve ever watched Father Ted he played father Jack there. I should have remembered. Here is the link:

I enjoyed reading your interview. ‘House of Games’! One of my all-time favourites.
I always enjoy David Mamet films, but I agree with you, that it is his best.
Regards as always, Pete.

Thanks Pete. Yes. I was going to offer you my PhD thesis but I’ve never published it…And of course he’s made a couple of more movies since I finished…Maybe some day I’ll update it and publish it somewhere….Mind you, if you have an e-mail and you want to read it…(Believe it or not, for a PhD I think it’s very readable….:)
I haven’t watched the movie for a bit but I’m sure I can still quote dialogue from it verbatim. I thoroughly enjoyed the research and writing my PhD…
