About Olga Núñez Miret and Copyright issues

Hi, I’m Olga. I trained in Medicine in Barcelona, Spain, and came to the UK in 1992 (shortly after the Olympics) with the plan of training in psychiatry. I spent quite a few years working in psychiatry (most recently forensic psychiatry), but on the way I’ve studied a few other things (American Literature, Criminology). Early in 2014, I left psychiatry as a full-time occupation to explore other avenues, carry on writing, and translate other authors’ books. Due to personal matters, in 2018 I came back to Barcelona, where I completed a CELTA course and obtained the certificate, and since then I’ve been busy with, among other things: private English lessons, reading and reviewing books, volunteering at a local radio station (Sants 3 Ràdio), where I conduct interviews, write articles for the news web, edit features for the news programme, and participate in live events, doing whatever it is required. Recently (August 2023), I started a Google Course on DX Design, so, who knows what will come next?

In this blog I post about things that interest me, random thoughts, advice, I post reviews, I have guests, both alive and classics…

Come along and see!

Hola, soy Olga.

Thank you so much for the follow. You see, I do not write as often as I would like to but I will do my best. I usually do it in Spanish, once again, I will do my best to post in English.
Great posting! God Bless!!

Querida Olga:

See you very soon.
Olga

Many thanks Christoph for thinking of me. I stopped accepting nominations months ago because I couldn’t find people to pass them on and at the moment I’m going to be moving around a fair bit so trying to sort out things. I’m sending you a message in Facebook in a while about having you as a guest. Many thanks!

Am exhausted reading all of your accomplishments. Did you really do all of that? Now me, I’m excited if I get a couple of activities in a day. Drinking red wine is one! 🙂

Like

Thanks Shelley. I make firm plans and promptly change them and end up somewhere else doing something else. I can see that you love your trips and have plenty of adventures to tell. I’ll keep up with my visits to your blog. And that’s another activity!

You are one very impressive sister blogger. I was delighted to see you pop up over the cyber horizon to pay my place a visit so I could in return come here to learn about you. Wishing you tons of success with your novels. Paulette p.s. I see we have the very generous and talented Christoph Fischer as friends in common.

Thanks Paulette. You’re very kind. I’m a member of ASMSG with Christoph. I will be sure to carry on visiting your blog for news. I hope you can come by and be my guest at some point in the future…

Sometimes true inspiration comes from the moments when we think we’re wasting our time and we should be doing something more constructive. It’s good to sometimes go where our fancy takes us.Or that’s my excuse, anyway! 🙂

Thanks Smorgasbord. I don’t formally take part in blog awards as a few months back I got myself into a situation where I couldn’t find anybody who had the time to take part and pass them on, and now instead I do some posts about other blog…Must include you on my next one! Thanks for thinking of me!

Thanks Jo, especially for your kind words! I’d been thinking about bringing you as a guest author but you’ve beaten me to the post. (I would still like to have you…) I tend to avoid chain/type of posts but this one sounds interesting and I might take a chance to start talking about the book I’m editing now…
Many thanks!

Impressive your life. I am living in Romania. I’m a writer. My novels are, in fact, a the gallery of destinies. Do you want to fulfill your dream. By publishing the the first novel, you have turned a corner. O I track events which will take place in your life as a writer. Thank you!

Thank you very much Corina. I’m in the UK but from Barcelona. I also keep writing and I’m always happy to meet other writers and share their works. Keep in touch!

I am pleased and honored to know you. I want to know if any of your books have been translated into Romanian. We will certainly keep in touch. Thank you for your message and for their willingness to know and professionally. Success.

Thanks Corina. I’m afraid my books are only available in English and Spanish (because I translate them myself). Maybe if they become a big success some day…One can but keep dreaming and writing!

Thanks Inese. I’m very fond of her too. I have ideas for a few books (hopefully full-sized novels but it depends where inspiration takes me) with her as protagonist, but have two projects that I hope to finish before (one very advanced, the other one will take a bit of time). Although usually my books tend to be written when they think it’s the right time, so one never knows….Love your blog. Might have to ask you for some ideas for covers… (I’m terrible with visual stuff!)

Thanks Jo! I’ll have a look (although it might be a while before I get round to anything…I have a few posts programmed and I’m doing NaNoWriMo in November, and I’ve been myself hoping all over the place so I don’t know any longer where my workspace is!)

Hi Olga, I was just going to tell you I’ve nominated you for an award, and then I saw you’re an award free zone. Never mind, the nomination as a very inspiring blogger still stands, and thank you for all your support.

Thanks Elaine for thinking of me. You’re one of my inspiring blogs too. I gave up on awards because I didn’t have much time. What I tend to do is share some blogs I’ve discovered every so often instead. As I’m doing the NaNoWriMo next month I’ll do one of those posts soon (and some reblogs).

Like

Thanks Vashti. You’re a star! I’m a bit busy with NaNoWriMo this month and usually December is a bit of a funny time (also other things coming up) but how is your agenda looking for the New Year? Don’t worry if it’s not convenient. We can talk some more…And I have you on my ever growing list to feature in my Friday post some time soonish…:)
