Angelic Business Angels and related matters Blog Tour Book launch Help!

I need help with my new #YA series. Anybody for a #blogtour post in June?

Hi all:

You know I’ve been pestering you all about my new YA series ‘Angelic Business’ and asking questions about marketing to try and put a plan together. OK, I’m not sure it’s a fully-fledged plan, but I’ve decided a few things.  As I’ve written already the three novels, I will put them in Amazon in pre-order this weekend (with about a month in between the releases of each part), at low prices to begin with and then they’ll go up. I might later on make the first one free (either temporarily or permanently, but we shall see). I haven’t yet decided on the KDP Select thing. Might try initially (I haven’t had any of my novels in Select for a while) but…

I want to give a go at having somebody organise a blog tour for me at some point, but I think it’s probably best to wait until  the first novel is out already. So here it goes. I’ve seen people organise an unofficial tour for their books, and I thought I’d ask if any of you could share a post about ‘Angelic Business 1. Pink Matters’ some time in June. I haven’t set a date for the release yet (I’ll do this weekend) but it should be around the 24th or 25th of June. I will create an html post that just needs to be copied into the blog. I am not planning on making it too long or elaborate. If I can manage to get my wits about me I might try and create a book trailer of sorts, but otherwise it will be the cover, description, link, and perhaps a bit of a sample…

I had already asked if anybody would want to have a look at the book and had a couple of replies. If anybody has the time and feels up to it, do let me know and I can provide it in any format (although it will be a draft version and home conversion so…). But if you can just fit the post somewhere…

I’ve been saving a few appearances in blogs to try and time them up with the release, so I’ll be a bit busy but…

Oh, the cover of the first book was featured in this guest post, by the wonderful Sally Ember but of course, I also had to share it with you. Thanks to my friend Lourdes Vidal for her creation.

Angelic Business 1. Pink Matters
Angelic Business 1. Pink Matters

I’ve updated the description so…

You are Pink, not the prettiest girl, but smart and with plenty of resources. What do you do when your best male friend offers to have sex with you, because he thinks you’re a lost cause? You plot your revenge with your two best female friends, of course!

It seems you’re in luck when a new and mysterious student appears. And, to top it all, he seems interested in you too. He could take part in the plan. But then, he seems to have a plan of his own… He insists he’s not just an ordinary boy. And what seemed so easy to begin with, gets more and more complicated when Heaven and Hell come knocking at Pink’s door.

PINK MATTERS is the story of Pink, a 17 year old girl, good student, articulate and smart. What she has never been the centre of attention or made the top ten of the most popular and attractive girls at school. When two guys, both claiming to be angels, insist that she is, indeed, ‘special’, fight for her attention and help and tell her she is the key to the future of the universe, she can’t help but ask: Why me?

And now, as a treat, I thought I’d leave you this:

Thanks so much for reading, if you’re interested in featuring a post, I’d be eternally grateful, so please, just leave me a comment and contact me here or wherever, and of course, if you’d like the book, let me know, and share, like, comment… and may the angels be with you!

Thanks so much Teagan. You’re a star. I’ll count you in. Lourdes sent me three very good proposals although thought this one was a bit “out there” but I loved it.

Thanks Melinda. Yes, it must be a bit alien unless you are a writer. As a way to try to promote our books, when we have a new book out, we ask other bloggers to do a post about it, so more people can see it and hopefully spread the word. Thanks so much.

Hi Olga, I think it’s great that you’re going for a blog tour. I’d love to look at your book and post a review. (By the way, I LOVE the cover! It’s superb!) Perhaps we could include an interview with the review? Let me know. All the best!

Thanks so much. I’ll send you an e-mail and it would be a pleasure to do an interview too. I’ll ask you for the format in the e-mail…:)

Thanks so much. I hope to get the links over the weekend so I should have the post ready some time next week. I’ll add you to my list!

Thanks Sally! I hope to have links finalised by the end of the weekend and sort out the post early next week and I’ll be getting in touch. And thanks for the reblog. You’re wonderful!

I want to support you absolutely, dear Olga, if only because Pink is not just a name, but also a very wonderful color 😀 🙂
But I am in Holidays from the 21 June till 25 or 28 June, and I do not know, if that still fits with your dates for a blog tour?

Let me know!
Hugs ❤

Hi Vera. You’re very kind. If everything goes well (fingers crossed!) I should have the links by the end of the weekend and then I’ll be able to create a post to send to people. It could work either before you go or after you come back, but if you think you’ll be able to fit it in some date after you’re back, that should be just after the publication. I wonder what your readers are going to think, used to your fantastic art. I hope I’m not going to lose you any clients!

Of course, you know I will be happy to do whatever I can to help. I would love to be part of your blog tour to highlight your book… by the way, I think my book is really YA too! ❤

Thanks so much Colleen. I’m putting you on my list for a post. And I’m looking forward to reading your book when it’s done. Funnily enough with the other YA story I published people told me they thought it could be an adult story too.

I started with my kids being 10 years old… they are at age 12 now and counting. I think my grandkids have something to do with that! LOL. Hmmmm, adult you say? Cool! ❤

Thanks Colleen. I think the fashions in reading for young people change over time. Mind you, when I was 12 or 13 I was reading novels for adults so… And a lot of adults read books theoretically marketed for YA (Harry Potter, anyone?). In my case is the age and the stage the protagonists are at. But see what you think… I suspect yours will have a very wide appeal. We all love magic.

I’m publishing in both but don’t worry, I hope to have some bloggers who blog in Spanish come to my rescue for the Spanish version… 🙂 I hope my Spanish is good enough after spending so long in the UK!

Of course you can use my blog Olga, just let me know then and I’ll make sure the Kangaroos have nothing to do with it. 🙂

Thanks Laurie. You’re a star! And the Kangaroos are welcome too! I hope to get everything ready, with links, dates, and all, early next week and I’ll start sending stuff out. Considering what the book is about, I’ve decided to leave it to luck or fate, or whatever, and whenever people can fit the post in should work for me!

I try Olga, it’s difficult, what with being inundated with requests for talks, movie rights, lectures. I still find time for friends. 😉

Thanks so much! I’ve become much more interested in the subject in the last two years and I’ve gone chasing after sculptures and images everywhere. Endlessly fascinating. I’ve taken your details and I’ll send you the materials when it’s ready. If you think it would be appropriate for your blog, I’d be very grateful. If not, it’s OK too. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks so much! I should have the links by the end of this week and will be sending the post early next week. I’m not planning on making it too long but I have no problem in people editing it if it takes up too much space. And even if you can’t not fit it in later, it’s very kind of you to offer.

Thanks so much! On my e-mail I will offer a copy of any of my books if anybody wants them, but I know everybody is very busy, so. But happy to feature anything relevant in my own blog too.

I´d love to read any of your books…
Even when It would take me time eventually, I´d do… Okay, Write me with the information as to the upcoming book… Best wishes, dear Olga. Aquileana ⭐

Thanks so much! When I send you the information I’ll send you the link to my website too as it might be easier to see all the books together there and you can tell me which one you fancy (and if you like several, that is not a problem). I don’t really write in one specific genre, so I understand not everybody will want to read everything. I’ll be in touch soon. And happy weekend!

Thanks so much Jo. I know you’re extremely busy (I was going to say at the moment, but… well, all the time!) and I also know there are some technical challenges going on. Any time will be great if you can fit it in. 🙂
